Dubai Municipality promotes 1001 staff members this year


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Dubai Municipality has promoted 1001 employees for the year 2014 the civic body announced on Monday.

The move is part of the municipality’s keenness to be one of the best places to work said Human Resources Department Director Khalid Abdul Rahim Abdullah.



“We are extremely happy to announce the promotion of 1001 employees for this year which (had been) already approved by the Dubai Government Human Resources Department” he said.



As many as 630 employees are given promotion with higher grades as applicable by the DM’s HR law while 371 employees are given financial promotion with salary increment.



“We also consider to revise the salaries of old employees to be the best remuneration in the industry in accordance with the new salary scale with DM” said Abdullah.



“The move comes as part of the DM’s vision to be the happiest place to work in the country as well as to maintain its valuable human resources for the benefit of the community. We believe that our employees are our real assets and we want to attract the most capable cadre to our resources” he said.



“To raise into the most advanced levels of employees’ satisfaction and achieve excellence and innovation in tune with the best international practices and standards the civic body has already commenced to implement a project to qualify it to join the group of ‘Great Place To Work’ organisations in the world.



“The move is aimed at benefiting from the global experiences of GPTW in enhancing the work environment of great organisations all over the world.”
