Qatar Stock Index Rises 137.07 Points


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 137.07 points (+1.03%) when the bourse closed at 13,668,931 points Thursday.

The traded value however slipped to QR 622.361 Million from QR 770.520 Million registered Wednesday.

The traded volume dropped to 13,668,931 shares from 6,033 transactions compared to 16,579,674 shares from 7,555 transactions on Wednesday.

The market value maintained its upward graph this week when it increased to QR 726.545 Billion at close from Wednesday's QR 719.653 Billion.

All indices ended in the green zone today with real estate index, up 2.35% to 2,611.59 points, boosting the traded value of the bourse.

Industries index gained 2.19% when it advanced to 4,440.29 points. Banks and financial services gained 1.13% when it closed at 3,386.09 points.

From the 43 listed companies, shares of 42 exchanged hands today. From these 27 made gains, 12 went down and three remained unchanged.

Qatar National Bank (QNB) share gained for the consecutive second day up QR 2.90 (+1.41%) when it closed at QR 208.90 while Qatar Islamic Bank share gained QR 1.70 (+1.51%) when it closed at 114.50.

Qatar International Islamic Bank share gained QR 2.10 (+2.46%) when it closed at QR 87.50.

From the industrial sector, Industries Qatar share gained QR 4.30 (+2.30%) when it closed at QR 191.50.

From the losers, Qatar Fuel share dropped QR 3.00 (-1.36%) when it closed at QR 217 today.
