Eliiy Power, Enphase Energy in battery joint venture


(MENAFN) Eliiy Power is in a joint venture with American company Enphase Energy to develop and sell residential energy storage systems for solar power in the US, Xinhua reported.

Under the joint agreement, the Japanese battery manufacturer and the California-based company aim to develop an all-in-one system covering power generation and storage.

Eliiy Power will develop a new battery to Enphase's specifications and begin exporting it next summer. By 2017, the company aims for capacity of 1 million units a year, which would be enough for 40,000 homes.
