(MENAFN) New York-based Production Resource Group (PRG), the world's leading supplier of entertainment and event technology, announced it is acquiring Dubai-based Gearhouse, the largest provider of event production services in the Gulf region, though neither company provided any financial details regarding the acquisition, Emirates 24/7 reported.
Gearhouse, which has over the last decade established itself as the market leader in the region, has an impressive client portfolio which includes key regional venue partners, international touring, leading global production companies, and government agencies.
The deal, which is expected to take effect starting October 30, will result in Gearhouse being rebranded PRG Gearhouse and the company is expected to become a very important hub in PRG's network, which expands in over 40 locations in key cities around the world.
"By acquiring Gearhouse, we will be able to significantly increase our local support for our many customers that produce events and shows in Dubai and the Gulf region. Now we can offer them the same high level of customer service and innovative, reliable technical solutions as our clients expect, wherever they are producing an event," PRG's Chief Executive Officer said.
