Apple's net income posts USD8.5m in Q4


(MENAFN) The Cupertino, California-based company said that the Computer giant Apple posted a net income of USD8.5 million in the fourth quarter, an increase of 12.7% from USD7.5 billion a year earlier, QNA reported.

Revenues hit a growth of 12.4% to USD42.1 billion, Apple said, noting record iPhone sales. "Our fiscal 2014 was one for the record books, including the biggest iPhone launch ever with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus," Apple's chief executive Tim Cook said.

The company sold around 39.3 million iPhones in the quarter, mentioning the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus introduced in the beginning of September, compared to 33.8 million iPhones sold last year.
