UAE's Aramex aims to expand business in 2015

(MENAFN) Aramex, the Dubai logistics firm, said they are planning to make at least two acquisitions in 2015 as part of the company growth strategy, Arab News reported.

Aramex, which has plans to grow through acquisitions, we are planning to acquire firms in the emerging markets of Africa, Asia and Turkey, though the company didn't provide any further details regarding these future acquisitions.

Aramex, which competes with global giants such as DHL and FedEx, has been focused on expanding in Africa, particularly firms in South Africa and east Africa, after the company acquired Berco Express Ltd, the South African logistics and transportation company in 2011.

The company, which also bought Australian domestic courier company Mail Call Couriers earlier this year, posted an increase in net profit by 12 percent in the April-June period due to growing revenue in its core Gulf market.
