(MENAFN) Official figures showed that China's industrial production growth slowed to 8.5 percent in the January-September period, down 0.3 percent from the first half of 2014, QNA reported.
In September alone, the industrial output rose 8 percent compared to the same month last year, while it expanded by 0.91 percent compared to that registered in August.
Industrial production accounted for 46 percent of China's total GDP in 2013, making it one of the best leading indicators for China's GDP growth, China's News Agency Xinhua reported.
The value-added industrial output of state-owned and state-controlled enterprises grew 5.2 percent on year in the first three quarters, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data showed.
