For IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Paul Roustan North American body paint champion and viral body painter is releasing a book containing over 300 photographs of his unparalleled body paint imagery. Roustan says
“People have been asking for a collection like this for years so I finally buckled down and got it done.”
The book features more than 130 of his most popular body paintings behind the scenes imagery various anecdotes describing his encounters as well as five full tutorials detailing step-by-step how to body paint like a pro.
Within his first year living in New England the Chicago born artist says he ‘found’ himself after doing his first body painting for a local Boston magazine. The successful result left him bitten and infected by the art form.
“I’ve been hooked since 2005. Painting on a regular canvas is just not as exciting. It doesn’t respond and come to life like a painted person can. The model transforms the work into something that is no longer mine and I can appreciate it as if someone else made it.” He explains.
Over the past ten years his work has been featured in a variety of outlets such as the Chicago Sun-Times Providence Journal Playboy Airbrush Action DIG Boston Spike TV Skin Wars Sabado Gigante The Queen Latifah Show Hollywood Today Live and various blogs like BoingBoing The Blaze Laughing Squid io9 Gizmodo and more!
Roustan intends to entirely crowdfund the book via kickstarter eliminating the publisher middleman.
