Detroit – People respect the experts for many reasons. Most people are not aware that they can shape themselves as experts. One of the ways to do this is by providing presentations online. Today’s most valuable presentation site is SlideShare with over sixty (60) million unique visitors each month. On Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm The Ultimate Analyst marketing director Chris Wechner will lead a workshop on how to use SlideShare. There is no charge for this event and it will be held in the Cooper Room of the Eastern Campus of the Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD).
The presenter Chris Wechner explains “I’ve been helping companies market online for a few years now and I take pride that I do a good job for my clients. However one of the neatest things about what I do is that we’re always learning new things that are worthwhile. SlideShare has been around for almost ten (10) years but I’ve only recently started using it seriously and I’m wondering how I’ve survived all these years without it.”
He continues “SlideShare is a great way to establish yourself as an expert or a leader in your field. The best part of using SlideShare is that it is not very hard at all. In some ways it is an easier form of online marketing than many other promotional methods. I really like it and I’m excited to share the info I’ve learned about it in just a short amount of time.”
According to its site SlideShare started in 2006 and was acquired by LinkedIn in 2012. The site averages 215 million page views a month and is “among the top 120 most-visited sites in the world.”
Wechner attempts to emphasize “This workshop is designed for people to bring their laptops and participate so they can deepen their learning. However anyone is welcome to come even without a computer. There just might be a few spots where they struggle a little but they should be able to follow the presentation during most of the event.”
