Dewa promotes smart services mobile app


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) In its Neighbourhood Campaign launched recently Dewa is promoting its smart services and mobile app especially the Ashir service.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has launched a campaign to encourage Dubai residents to download and use its app and opt for the Green Bill.



In its ‘Neighbourhood Campaign’ launched recently Dewa is promoting its smart services and mobile app especially the Ash’ir service which is dedicated to serving customers with speech disorders or hearing-impairment.



A team from the marketing and corporate communications and information technology divisions of Dewa with the assistance from the Dubai Police’s General Department of Organisations Protective Security and Emergency make weekly visits to residential neighbourhoods in Dubai using a specially-designed bus to encourage more customers to download and use the smart app.



They provide residents with conservation tips and register them for the Green Bill which will replace the paper bills. This year’s campaign aims to promote Dewa’s new smart services including Ash’ir.



Held for the fifth consecutive year the campaign was launched in conjunction with Gitex Technology Week 2014 last week.



‘Smart’ Prizes



Dewa concluded its participation at Gitex 2014 by giving away 50 prizes including iPhones Samsung Galaxy phones and iPad Air.



Dewa customers had the chance to enter a raffle draw to win daily smart prizes when they completed selected transactions using the authority’s smart app. The services chosen for raffle included request of final bill Green Bill registration request service activation payment for a friend activating auto payment of electricity and water bills and payment through mobile phones on (mPay.dubai.ae).



Customers still have a chance to win three more smart prizes at a grand raffle draw that will be held in February 2015. To qualify Dewa customers have to pay their electricity and water bills in full via either the Dewa app or the website (dewa.gov.ae) for three consecutive months from August 1 2014 to January 31 2015.
