(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Tariq Hilal al Barwani will be stepping down as the president of Knowledge Oman on October 29. Barwani told Muscat Daily that Rym Aoudia who has been appointed the new president will take the organisation to new heights.
'This is a voluntary decision that has been taken by me to pave way for new people. The new president is equipped with the best skills perseverance and foresight which will take the organisation forward.'
A post on Barwani's social networking website page reads 'After seven years of continuous contribution to society's development and education I will be stepping down as president of Knowledge Oman. It is definitely a nostalgic moment as I had built the organisation with the objective of bringing together committed and passionate people in Oman."
The organisation has over 15000 registered members from all across the country and has partnerships with several organisations. It has bagged several accolades both in the sultanate and abroad.
