UAEs donations against poverty reach Dh8.9 billion


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi Minister of International Cooperation and Development has announced that the UAEs share of donations to fight poverty worldwide has reached Dh8.

In a statement on the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty Shaikha Lubna said: “The humanitarian vision of the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai as well as the relentless follow-up of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces is reflected in the UAE’s praiseworthy manner of addressing the international poverty issue by directing its efforts and effective contributions to alleviate the suffering of people in underprivileged societies.”
