Foreign leaders to attend inauguration of Indonesia's new president


(MENAFN- The Peninsula)  he swearing-in of Indonesia's president-elect Joko Widodo will be attended by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and US Secretary of State John Kerry, a news report said Friday.

Joko, former furniture businessman and governor of Jakarta, will be inaugurated as Indonesia's 7th president on Monday after winning an election in July.

Japan and South Korea will send special representatives, the Republika daily reported, quoting the chairman of the upper house of parliament, Zulkifli Hasan.
