Asian European Leaders Begin Summit


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tokyo October 16 (QNA) - Asian and European leaders will kick off their biennial summit meeting Thursday in Milan with the aim of bolstering cooperation between the two regions on economic and other issues Japan's News Agency (Kyodo) reported.



During the two-day summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting or ASEM Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is set to share the positive effects of his policies dubbed Abenomics on the world's third-largest economy since he took office in December 2012.



The prime minister also plans to outline Japan's contribution to global issues such as the deadly Ebola virus climate change and disaster prevention. (QNA)
