Cost of Living General Index Increases 2.8% in September 2 Riyadh,


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  The general index for the month of September 2014 hit (130.9), compared to (130.7) for August 2014, reflecting an increase in the index for September 2014 by (0.2%) compared to the index's level in August 2014.
The CDSI attributed that to the rise in four of the main sections constituting the index for the cost of living topped by the sections of food and beverages which recorded an increase of 0.9%, followed by the section of household furnishing and equipment and maintenance by 0.5%, then the section of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.3%, and the section of health by 0.1%.
On the contrary, six of the main sections constituting the index for the cost of living have recorded a decrease topped by the sections of clothing and footwear, and miscellaneous goods and services by 0.8%, then the section of restaurants and hotels by 0.5%; the section of Transportation by 0.4%, section of Recreation and culture by 0.3%; section of Communications by 0.2%, while section of Education remained at its previous level of prices without any relative change.
