Scotland's economy expands 2.6 percent in Q2


(MENAFN) According to latest statistics released, Scotland's economy expanded by 2.6 percent in the April-June period of 2014 over the same period a year ago, Xinhua reported.

The statistics data from Scotland's Chief Statistician showed that Scottish gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.9 percent in the April-June period compared to the previous quarter.

In terms of sectors, services grew by 0.9 percent during the cited period, the production sector grew by 0.3 percent, while construction output expanded by 3.6 percent.
