Pakistan Demands UN Immediate End to Indian Aggression

(MENAFN- QNA) Pakistan demanded immediate end to "unprovoked" firing and shelling by Indian forces along the Line of Control and Working Boundary, Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday.

In an interview in New York, Pakistan's representative to the United Nations Masood Khan said restraint exercised by Pakistan should not be considered as weakness.

The ambassador reiterated Pakistan's principled stance to resolve all outstanding issues with India through dialogue.

At least 12 people have been killed and 64 others injured in Indian firing along the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary over the past two weeks. Unprovoked Indian firing has triggered an exodus of people from the villages near the LoC and Working Boundary. Clashes occur regularly along the LoC as well as the Working Boundary.
