Qatar Airways, Gulfstream sign MoU for 20 aircrafts


(MENAFN) Qatar Airways announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Gulfstream Aerospace Corp for the purchase of up to 20 aircraft, after Gulfstream introduced its all-new family of business jets, the Gulfstream G500 and G600, QNA reported.

The Memorandum of Understanding is set to establish an initial agreement between the two entities, and giving the right for Qatar Airways to order up to 20 Gulfstream aircrafts, including an option of ordering from the all-new, wide-cabin G500 and the flagship G650ER.

The G500, with its all-new design which focuseson speed, wide-cabin comfort and efficiency as well as featuring new industry-leading safety technologies, is set to link Doha, Qatar, nonstop with London, Geneva and Paris when it enters service, which is expected to start in 2018.

"With their unmatched high-speed capabilities and class-leading cabin comfort, the G650ER and G500 will allow Qatar Airways to introduce a new level of service to their customers in the Middle East and abroad." Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways said.
