Cash cars as prizes at Al Wathba Camel Race


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The two-day Al Wathba Camel Race competition organised by the Emirates Camel Racing Federation will include various categories and 33 rounds.

Under the patronage of Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs the annual Al Wathba Camel Race competition organised by the Emirates Camel Racing Federation will begin on Saturday at Al Wathba track in Abu Dhabi.



The two-day event will include various categories and 33 rounds. The race organising committee has allocated cash cars and other prizes for the winners of each category.



Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Advisor to the UAE President and President of the Emirates Camel Racing Federation expressed his thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed for his patronage of the competition and for his support in keeping the sport of camel racing alive.



The President of the Camel Racing Federation also said that the evolution of camel racing which is a UAE heritage sport is in line with the progress that the country is witnessing in all areas.



Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan added that the support that camel racing is receiving is in the interest of Emirati camel owners who represent a large segment of UAE society.
