(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Omanis - young and old students and retirees wanting to feel productive and build a career with McDonald's can take up different types of job opportunities at McDonald's and become part of the growing family.
This was announced by McDonald's Oman (Al Daud Restaurants) at the recently concluded three-day Education Training and Career (EduTrac) expo supported by McDonald's at the Oman International Exhibition Center.
'Our Omanisation programme is not only open for Omanis who want to take up full-time jobs with McDonald's but also for students and retirees who want to feel productive during their spare time.
'Our Omanisation programme covers various training opportunities and a career path for Omanis young and old alike' said Ahmed al Amri HR manager of McDonald's Oman who himself started as crew when he first joined with McDonald's.
Ahmad al Afari head manager who also started his career as crew at McDonald's worked his way up the ladder in the company. 'I set out on a hot summer afternoon 11 years ago from my home in Musannah. My dream was to secure a job that would give me an opportunity to learn about different cultures and polish my language skills. Luckily McDonald's provided me with such an opportunity' he said.
Afari added 'I had to undergo a three-month training at the restaurant and eventually was assured of a job upon successful completion of the programme.
'I never thought it would be the turning point in my life. The regular training provided by McDonald's has helped me in building my capacity capability and competency in running the business. It brought me to where I am now.'
