Oman Air celebrates Labour Day with lunch, gifts for workers

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Held at Oman Air's Headquarters in Muscat the lunchtime event saw Oman Air's most junior members of staff being served by members of the airline's senior management team including Paul Gregorowitsch chief executive officer. The Labour Partners were also presented with gifts including branded perfume leather wallets caps and other items.

Gregorowitsch said 'Oman Air's Labour Partners provide invaluable support to the staff of many of our departments and it was a great pleasure to recognise their contribution in this way on Labour Day. The food was delicious and we had great fun as my senior management colleagues and I served each dish under the blazing sun.' Oman Air's continuing success relies upon the commitment and relentless hard work of its staff and our Labour Partners - who are chiefly engaged in that the right documents and materials reach the right people within Oman Air at the right time – are an important part of the engine that keeps Oman Air running effectively.

'Our Labour Day feast was therefore an excellent opportunity to thank them for their dedication and to demonstrate that the work of every member of staff at every level of the Oman Air is essential and appreciated. I would particularly like to thank our colleagues in Oman Air's Global Distribution System department for devising this initiative and for arranging the feast.'

Following the event one of the Labour Partner staffs spoke of his and his colleagues' appreciation saying 'It was a wonderful event. We thank Oman Air for this lovely gesture. It was indeed very nice of Oman Air to not only provide a feast but also such useful gifts.'

Since joining Oman Air in August this year Gregorowitsch has consistently emphasised the importance of every member of staff in achieving the airline's goals.

In addition to introducing formal management processes such as Oman Air's new performance management system a range of incentives and rewards for high-performing staff have been introduced including the recent funding of 13 staff members to perform the Hajj.
