Qatar Stock Index Falls 182.09 Points


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index fell 182.09 points (-1.35%) Wednesday Tuesday when trading closed at 13,329.02 points.

The trading value however increased to QR 534.668 Million from QR 411.699 Million on Tuesday.

The trading volume increased to 9,748,287 shares from 5,421 transactions compared to 7,851,193 shares from 4,638 transactions on Tuesday.

The market capitalization dropped to QR 718.892 Billion from QR 728.411 Billion registered Tuesday.

Indices of all sectors took a beating, barring insurance which went up slightly by +0.10%.

Telecoms index nose-dived -3.18%, transport index went down -2.50%, consumer goods and service (-1.81%), industries (-1.75%), real estate (-1.53%), banks and financial services (-0.63%).

From the 43 listed companies on QSE, 39 declined, three went up and one remained unchanged today.

Qatari individual and institutional investors bought 56.60% shares while 45.03% shares were sold.

Islamic Holding (+0.48%) to QR 124.60, Mannai Corp (+1.04%) to QR 116.90 and Qatar General Insurance (+2.80%) to QR 45.85 were the only three companies whose shares closed higher today.
