Oman's Nawras net profit jumps 36 percent in Q3


(MENAFN) Oman's Nawras, the number 2 telecom operator in term of subscribers in the country, announced it has reported an increase in its profit, which grew by 35.9 percent in the July-September period, Arabian Business reported.

The firm, which is majority-owned by Ooredoo, registered a net profit of USD28.1 million in the year's third quarter compared to USD20.71 million it registered during the corresponding period of last year, as well as posting USD149.67 in third quarter revenue in comparison with USD131.54 million registered in the third quarter of 2013.

Nawras said that this growth is the result of the heavy investment it made in its network in the past four years which resulted in the company reporting an increase in its profits in four of the past five quarters.
