(MENAFN- QNA) In this regard, Al Khayareen highlighted the plight of women and girls who live under occupation, where despite all efforts to enhance women's capacities, and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for them, still women in Palestine and the rest of the occupied Arab territories to this day suffer from violations committed by the Israeli occupation which deprive them of basic rights such as education, health care, security and freedom of movement".
He called on the international community to make more and concerted efforts in order to overcome these difficulties, and to enhance the role of women in peacekeeping and peace-building, and involving them in decision-making processes, and full participation in society as citizens with equal rights with the other members of the society.
Al Khayarren stressed that the State of Qatar, has made remarkable social and economic transformation, and great development in the advancement of women, and promoting and protecting their rights, and to enable them to exercise all their political, social and economic rights.
