Renowned Graffiti Artist Charts New Direction with "Frank Mason: The Instrumentals Volume One"

Hoboken New Jersey – October 14 2014 – Frank Mason an artist known for his multi-facetted visual work has released his debut music album “Frank Mason: The Instrumentals Volume One.” The first of three planned albums “Instrumentals Volume One” represents a new creative direction for Mason who has developed a worldwide following as a graffiti artist under the pseudonym EAZ. Mason composed and produced the album himself in addition to animating his own music videos and branding the final product.

"I have always been an artist” said Mason. “However creating art from a visual perspective was all that I knew. I gravitated toward hip hop culture from youth. As I got older I was simply making music for my graffiti video projects. I eventually fell in love with the process and the instant gratification creating music gave me. Everything that I made musically up to this moment I chalk up to experience and practice. Until the past few years it felt more like it was done out of necessity. When I started to MC again everything took a turn. My passion for hip hop and other genres of music that I continue to find stimulating have manifested into this new direction."

Mason considers himself a true fan of real hip hop. Transforming his love for music into actual music was a creative and personal challenge. Just like any artist when he embarked on formulating his own music he considered himself his own worst critic. Nevertheless he persevered to further refine his sound and techniques. “When I started making hip hop music I would want to actually listen to myself I knew I had to let people hear what I have been up to” said Mason. “With these instrumental albums I let the music do the talking. There's no need to hear me MC on everything I do. I feel the music can stand on it's own.” Mason credits producers Madlib MF Doom RZA and Alchemist as his inspiration to get serious about making his own music.

When he's not making music Mason runs a graphics and illustration business. He has also dedicated many years to learning the art of tattooing with an ever growing clientelle stretching across the globe.

The album “Frank Mason: The Instrumentals Volume One.” is now available on iTunes and Amazon.
