Qatar Stock Index Gains 32.99 Points


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index continued its upward graph Tuesday, adding 32.99 points (+0.24%) when trading closed at 13,511.11 points.

The trading value fell to QR 411.699 Million from QR 557.530 from on Monday.

The trading volume dropped to 7,851,193 shares from 4,638 transactions compared to 10.316,718 shares from 5,623 transactions on Monday.

The market capitalization increased to QR 728.411 Billion from QR 726.112 Billion registered Monday.

Indices of banks and financial services (+0.98%), insurance (+0.23%) and telecoms (+0.41%) gained today.

Transport (0.84%), industries (-0.48%), real estate (-0.48%) and good consumer goods and services (-0.40%) indices closed lower today.

From the 43 listed companies on QSE, 15 advanced, 23 declined and five remained unchanged today.

Qatari individual and institutional investors bought 49.70% shares while 56% shares were sold.

Qatar National Bank (QNB) share was up +2.16% when it closed at QR 208.20 From real estate Barwa share gained half per cent when it closed at QR 40.45.

Ezdan Holding share saw hectic trading with a significant volume of 2,430,945 shares changing hands. However, the share closed marginally lower (-0.70%) at QR 19.85 from Monday's close at QR 19.99.
