Lets Beat It campaign smashes world record

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) 2420 people reach Ibn Battuta Mall to be a part of the most blood cholesterol readings recorded in eight hours at a single venue.

A hearty effort on social media has seen the ‘Let’s Beat It’ campaign reach 2420 people in eight hours marking a Guinness World Record for AXA Gulf and Al Zahra Hospital Dubai.

The record was smashed on Friday at the Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai where the city’s health-conscious turned out to be a part of the most blood cholesterol readings recorded in eight hours at a single venue.

Advertised heavily on social media websites sixty nurses from Al Zahra Hospital Dubai performed the tests recording the results in less than five minutes to fit with the record-breaking time frame given.

A cardiologist dietitian and family doctor were also on hand to give extra information to those participating on the day.

AXA Gulf and Al Zahra Hospital Dubai CEOs received an official certificate recording the significant achievement from Guinness World Records Project Manager Samer Khallouf with CEO of AXA Gulf Jérôme Droesch proudly accepting the award.

“This is the first time an insurance company in the GCC has achieved such a record and we’re very proud of this achievement” he said adding that its main goal is to raise public awareness on cardiovascular diseases.

“I think it was more than successful. The award is a testimonial of our continuous efforts to raise awareness against major health concerns… (It) would not have been possible without the precious efforts of our partners Al Zahra Hospital and their highly committed medical staff”.

The event concluded with a raffle draw where 20 participants won 10 free health insurance packages for one year from AXA with a further 10 participants winning free health check-ups at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai.
