(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) has urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to rescind latest appointment of a party loyalist as chairman of the evacuee property board that manages properties of minorities and name a Hindu retired judge instead.
“Illegal occupation and corruption related to the properties owned by minorities occurred due to appointment of non-Hindu chairman of the multi-billion Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) in the past” said a statement issued by the PHC adding that the Liaqat-Nehru Agreement 1950 bounds government of Pakistan to appoint Hindu chief.
The PHC suggested that the present government may avail services of former chief justice of Supreme Court Rana Bhagwaan Daas a renowned honest devoted and patriotic person who is a Hindu. -newskhaleejtimes.com
