Turkey denies making deal with US on using Incirlik air base

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Turkey has denied making a deal with the US to allow American forces use Incirlik air base to conduct attacks against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Turkish government sources stated Monday.

No deal has been reached yet with the US for the use of Incirlik air base, located in Adana province in southern Turkey, sources said, according to Anadolu Agency (AA), but noted that the two sides have reached a joint agreement on training the moderate Syrian opposition.

Earlier, US National Security Adviser Susan Rice stated, in an interview with NBC network, that Ankara had agreed to let the US use Turkish bases and territory to train moderate Syrian opposition forces, and conduct operations inside Iraq and Syria.
