Kurdish parties decide to join Baghdad's gov't

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kurdish parties Monday decided to join Iraqi prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi's government, and hoped their participation would be an opportunity to address outstanding issues between the federal government and regional administration in Kurdistan.

The political parties, in a joint statement following their meeting in Irbil, said they have decided to join Al-Abadi's government "to save Iraq from the dangerous offensive it faces." They said they would give Al-Abadi three months to take measures to solve sticky issues between Baghdad and Kurdistan. They regretted failure to pay wages although the government was formed a month ago.

They hoped their participation would "strengthen the political address and unite the position against our common enemy."
