(MENAFN- QNA) Kuwait, October 13 – GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met here today with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos on the sidelines of the 5th Annual Conference on "Effective Partnership and Information Sharing for Better Humanitarian Action" currently underway in Kuwait
During the meeting they discussed ways of developing cooperation and coordination between GCC and UN in the humanitarian fields.
Al Zayani asserted GCC countries' interest in increasing opportunities of cooperation and coordination with the United Nations in this field, praising the big efforts being exerted by the United Nations to provide aid and assistance to the needy in different countries of the world.
