(MENAFN- QNA) Arab League Secretary-General Dr. Nabil Elaraby met here today with Argentina's Foreign Minister, Hector Timerman after his participation in the international conference on Palestine: "Reconstructing Gaza", which was held in Cairo.
During the meeting, they discussed the Palestinian issue, the situation in the Middle East and preparations related to the holding of the joint meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers and their counterparts from South American countries which will be held in Bahrain next month.
Ambassador Ibrahim Mohieldeen, Arab League's Director of American Department, who participated in the meeting, said that the meeting focused on Argentina's current efforts at the UN Security Council. Argentina is chairing the presidency of the UN Security Council for this month.
