20 salons fined in RAK during Eid holidays


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Intensive campaigns were carried out in Ras Al Khaimah to prevent health violations and protect customers health during the feast.

The Ras Al Khaimah Municipality has fined 20 hairdressing salons during surprise inspection raids across the emirate during the Eid Al Adha holiday.



Khalifa Mohammed Al Maktoum Manager of the Public Health and Environment Department said intensive campaigns were carried out to prevent health violations and protect customers’ health during the feast.



“Different amounts of fines were slapped against the Asian and Arab hairdressers caught flouting rules in different areas.”



Nine animals rejected



Meanwhile nine out of the 6965 animals brought to the three abattoirs in the emirate during the Eid Al Adha holiday were found unfit for slaughtering and consumption of their meat.



“Instant certificates were issued to the customers to prove that their animals were unfit for slaughtering and to replace them with others fit for consumption from the animal market.”



Al Maktoum said all animals received on the day of Arafa and the three days of the feast from 5am to 10pm were subjected to precise veterinary examination before and after slaughtering.
