(MENAFN- QNA) Algeria will have its first nuclear power plant before 2029, Minister of Energy Youcef Yousfi said Monday.
The Minister said that the Algerian government is currently in the process of creating nuclear reactors for testing. He added that the government will also invest in training labor for the use of nuclear technology.
Algeria signed a number of agreements on the peaceful use of nuclear energy with Russia, Argentina, United States and South Africa. The agreements include producing electricity from nuclear energy.
