Emirates to boost services to Milan


(MENAFN) Emirates Airline plans to boost its services to and from Milan through updating one of its Boeing 777-300 services to an A380 by 1 December. However, this will be the first ever permanently scheduled A380 service to Milan Malpensa Airport, Emirates 24/7 reported.

Carrying the A380 onto one of Emirates' three daily Milan services will increase the company's capacity by 38%. The three daily Milan services is currently operated with a mix of Boeing 777-300 and 777-300ER aircraft.

Milan Expo 2015 will certainly play a vital role as an economic catalyst that will expand local and regional economies.

The economic value that Milan Expo 2015 will deliver to the city and surrounding region is expected to hit USD42.93 billion. More than USD14.90 billion has already been invested in both urban and regional infrastructure to support Milan Expo 2015, and a further USD2.14 billion has been invested to construct the exhibition site in Milan.
