UAE's Alchemist buys majority stake in GMC


(MENAFN) Alchemist Healthcare, a UAE-based healthcare company, announced it has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Dubai-based German Medical Centre (GMC), in Dubai Healthcare City, Khaleej Times reported.

Alchemist, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Healthcare Mena, said that the acquisition was successfully completed at the beginning of this month and that it is expected to help the company increases its network to 21 facilities in four major GCC cities.

GMC, which is known to be a multi-specialty medical center based in Dubai Healthcare City, offers the highest level of medical care by qualified doctors and visiting German Consultants and has begun operations in 2004.

"We are delighted to announce the successful acquisition of GMC. The acquisition takes us another step forward with the implementation of our growth strategy in the rapidly growing regional markets," CEO of Al Masah Capital and chairman of Healthcare Mena said.
