Man tries to end life twice over marital disputes in Sharjah


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The man first cut his neck with a knife after he had a heated argument with his wife and afterwards tried to jump from the fifth-floor of their apartment.

Sharjah: A 33-year-old Pakistani man allegedly tried to commit suicide twice over marital disputes at his apartment in Jamal Abdul Nasser Street in Sharjah on Thursday night.



The man was rushed to Al Kuwaiti Hospital in a very serious condition and admitted in the ICU.



The police said the man identified as Y.I. first cut his neck with a knife after he had a heated argument with his wife. He started bleeding heavily and his wife tried to prevent him from hurting himself further. Even as he was bleeding he ran to the balcony of the fifth-floor apartment and tried to jump but again his wife held him back. At this he fainted due to excessive bleeding.



Around 11pm the woman called the police who rushed to the area and found the man in a pool of blood. He was taken in an ambulance to Al Kuwaiti Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment. The police have launched an investigation and are interrogating the woman.
