Chinese Premier Arrives in Russia

(MENAFN- QNA) Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang arrived in Moscow Sunday for talks with Russian leaders.

Around 50 inter-governmental, inter-agency and corporate documents are expected to be signed during Li's visit to Moscow, a Tass news agency report said today.

The Chinese Premier's main event is a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev due Monday. The parties will discuss co-operation in trade, economy, investments, and energy as well as in the humanitarian sphere.

On October 14, Medvedev and Li will attend the III Moscow International Forum for Innovative Development 'Open Innovations'. China is the forum's partner country this year.

Li is also expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of the Federation Council, the upper house of parliament, and Sergei Naryshkin, speaker of the State Duma, the lower house, Xinhua said.

Beijing hopes the visit 'will favour improvement of the political trust, mutual support between Russia and China in sovereignty and territory integrity,' China's Foreign Ministry said.
