Jordan Exports Rise to JD 2.6 Billion in 2014


(MENAFN- QNA) Jordan's exports amounted to Jordanian Dinar (JD) 2.666 Billion during the past eight months compared to JD 2.628 Billion for the same period of last year, according to a Petra news agency report that cited Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) data.

In terms of sectorial importance, ACI report said chemicals and cosmetics topped the list of exports reaching JD 556 Million followed by mining industries with JD 485 Million, engineering , electrical and information technology industries with JD 395 Million.

The figures also showed that Iraq, with JD 575 Million, accounted for the largest chunk of ACI exports, followed by Saudi Arabia with JD 369 Million, India with JD 252 Million and the USA with JD 248 Million.
