(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Fifteen Algerian doctors arrived in Gaza Strip from Egypt Saturday to carry out surgeries for Palestinians patients in the Algerian hospital east of Khan Yunus.
The Algerian surgeons will stay in Gaza for 15 days during which they will also conduct operations in Palestinian hospitals, said Mohammad Maree, head of the We'am Charity society.
He said in a statement to the press that the Algerian doctors' visit was part of the Arab countries' support for the Palestinien people following the 50-day Israeli aggression on Gaza that left more than 11,000 injured.
Maree said Palestinian hospitals were suffering from acute shortage in medical equipment and medicine.
