Sharjah: The Sharjah Police have launched a search for a thief who allegedly snatched a handbag of a 42-year-old Swiss woman in Al Nabah area on Thursday.
The police said the bag of the woman identified as K.J. contained Dh8000 and jewellery worth Dh50000. The incident took place when she was heading towards Dubai Islamic Bank branch in the Clock Tower area to deposit the money. The thief trailed the woman snatched the bag and fled the area.
The woman lodged a complaint at Al Gharb police station which has launched a hunt for the suspect.
