"We will provide the bereaved families with appropriate repatriation assistance, including airport assistance, when the remains arrive," Baldoz said.

According to Baldoz, process has begun to repatriate the remains of the nurses who worked in a specialized medical centre in Saudi Arabia.

Baldoz said the government would also bring home the remains of the Rivera family.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) plans to extend mandatory social benefits to the families of its members Cal, Geli and Bencris Rivera.

"Their legal heirs will receive P200,000 (about QR16,258) in death benefits and P20,000 in funeral benefits," Baldoz said.
