Jordan King Meets Coordinator of International Coalition Against Daesh


(MENAFN- QNA) Jordanian King Abdullah II on Wednesday reiterated his country's support to the regional and international coalition fighting the terrorist organizations that pose threat to regional and international security and stability.

The king made the remarks as he met U.S. Gen. John Allen, the coordinator of the international coalition's effort against Daesh group, currently on a visit to Jordan as part of a regional tour.

In this regard, King Abdullah called for a "unified international stance to deal with the various threats to global peace and security," state news agency Petra reported.

Gen. Allen, meanwhile, stressed the importance of Jordan's role in addressing challenges facing the region. Jordan, he said, is a respected and pivotal country at the regional and international arenas, underlining Amman's efforts in maintaining regional and international security and peace.
