French President Backs Buffer Zone Between Syria and Turkey


(MENAFN- QNA) French President Francois Hollande has backed Turkey's calls for a buffer zone between Syria and Turkey "to receive and protect those displaced (by fighting)." Hollande endorsed Ankara's demand in a statement after a telephone call with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to discuss the "alarming" situation in northern Syria, "specifically in the town of Kobane."
