(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) On December 14 last year a 35-year-old Bangladeshi was killed and his compatriot seriously injured in a drunken brawl Al Sajja area.
The Sharjah Police recently arrested five Asians who were allegedly involved in a group clash in Al Sajja area in December last year in which a Bangladeshi died and another suffered serious injuries.
The incident happened on December 14 last year. The police received a call reporting that a 35-year-old Bangladeshi was killed and his compatriot seriously injured in a drunken brawl Al Sajja area. The police and paramedics teams which reached the scene found a man lying in a pool of blood. He and another injured man were rushed to Al Kuwaiti Hospital where the former was pronounced dead.
Based on the information collected the police formed a team of CID officers to track down the culprits and arrested them one after another from different parts of Sharjah. They told the police that they had a previous dispute with the deceased and his friends. Both groups got into heated arguments which snowballed into a violent clash in which they used wooden logs to beat up the two Bangladeshis. They also said they were all drunk at the time of the fight.
