S. Korea's trade surplus in industrial, material sector to top USD100b


(MENAFN) A governmental report showed that South Korea's trade surplus in the industrial parts and materials sector is estimated to hit USD100 billion in 2014 due to positive figures, Xinhua reported.

In the January-September period, exports of industrial parts and materials surged 4.1 percent from a year earlier to USD203.3 billion, while imports increased 2.2 percent to USD125.4 billion.

Meanwhile, trade surplus in the sector reached USD77.9 billion during the nine-month period, up 7.3 percent on-year, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
