FBI asks for help in identifying man in ISIL video

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) asked for the public's help Tuesday in identifying a man from an ISIL propaganda video and also any individual traveling to "engage in combat alongside terrorist organizations.

"In the video, a man whose face is obscured by a mask alternates seamlessly between English and Arabic in pro-ISIL pronouncements intended to appeal to a Western audience," said the FBI statement. "Dressed in desert camouflage and wearing a shoulder holster, the masked man can be seen standing in front of purported prisoners as they dig their own graves and then later presiding over their executions." This particular propaganda video is 55 minutes long and released on September 19. "We're hoping that someone might recognize this individual and provide us with key pieces of information," said Michael Steinback, assistant director of the FBI's Counterterrorism division.

The FBI believes that this man has a North American accent unlike the man who appears in the execution videos who the FBI says is British and claims to now know his identity.
