Indian Ship Sinks Near Oman


(MENAFN- QNA) Socotra,Yemen, An India ship bound for the archipelago of Socotra in Yemen sank today.

The Director of the coast guard in Socotra archipelago Major Mohammad Abdullah said the ship hit a mountain peak in the middle of the sea near the Sultanate of Oman and sank completely, but the crew was rescued by a ship near the site.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), he said the ship was loaded with about 600 tons of food, iron and cars belonging to a number of Yemeni merchants in Socotra.
