17 Federal National Council proposals adopted


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The third session saw 122 questions including 30 questions from the previous session and 92 asked by the members.

Members of the Federal National Council (FNC) tabled 79 questions to government representatives leading to the adoption of 17 recommendations during the legislative body’s third session of the 15th legislative chapter which began on November 11 2013 and ended on June 24 2014.



A technical report issued by the FNC said deliberations on the questions took 17 hours and 34 minutes in total with a question on facilitating data update for retired employees taking the longest time of 38 minutes. Discussion on a question about the national anthem took the shortest time of one minute and 18 seconds.



According to the report the third session saw 122 questions including 30 questions from the previous session and 92 asked by the members. Some 56 questions were answered verbally and 23 in writing.



Social issues took the lion’s share of the questions with 17 questions. Healthcare issues followed with eight questions; seven about pensions; six about Emiratisation; four about education; and two about security.
