(MENAFN- QNA) A bus accident in western Nepal in which the crowded vehicle veered off the road and into a gorge has left 29 people killed and dozens injured.
The bus was carrying more than 100 people, far more than it designated capacity, police said. Most passengers were reportedly travelling to celebrate the Hindu Dashain festival with their families.
The bus is said to have fallen at least 200 meters down into the gorge with heavy rain hampering rescue operations according to local officials.
